NWLANorth West Louisiana Beat the Heat (NWLA BTH) is a great example of veteran police officers going beyond there ordinary duties in law enforcement to bring additional value to not only there community but also their state. Members like Charles Griffith have assisted in growing NWLA BTH to reach hundred of thousands children and adults with a range of goals like stopping drugs to stopping illegal street racing. Using the innovative medium of race cars to interact with the public there program has proven to teach a better quality of life while sustaining alternatives to illegal street racing. There hard work has been seen nationally on famous shows like Supervision's "Pinks All Out" and "Pass Time." Evo Street Racers is excited to announce the newly found partnership between our two organizations as we work together to reduce illegal street racing with viable alternatives. Beat the Heat, Inc. is a "Cops and Kids" program designed to break down the barriers between young people and the Police and give both groups the chance to interact with each other in a positive manner.  We use our vehicles as rolling billboards and as a way to "Break the Ice" and let young people know that the Law Enforcement Community is not just concerned with enforcement of the law but education of the law as well.

Our Primary Goals:NWLA

  • •Keep kids in school
  • •Stop illegal drug use
  • •Stop impaired driving
  • •Promote use of seatbelts
  • •Promote racing in a safe and controlled environment
  • •Educate the general public about Sanctioned Drag Racing

NO TAX DOLLARS are spent on this program.  All funds come from sponsors, individual donors or by the Officers themselves.  We DO NOT charge a fee for our appearance.  All members are volunteers and participate in this program because they wish to give something back to the community they live in.  Last year volunteer officers drove over 300,000 miles to participate in events all over the United States reaching over 1.9 million kids with our message.  NW Louisiana Officers met well over 300,000 kids themselves.  This does not include adults, tv or the news!!
