Update / Revision: N/A

Evo is proud to announce "The Evolution Has Begun" global tour. The goal of this program is to deepen our engagement and connection to the Street Scene with existing and new services. By enhancing the value and experience with the target demographic Evo intends on driving the success rate of evolving illegal street racers into motorsports racers. Evo's new services will be focused on intriguing, entertaining, and inspiring young adults to take that next step in making the right choice to take it from the street onto the track. More program details will be released in January 2010.

To identify The Evolution Has Begun program two cutting edge logos were designed. Evo's president, Bryan Harrison, set the goal of the logo to be focused on taking the content, style and tone of image to instantly communicate to the viewer that their is a start of an evolution occurring in the illegal street racers becoming motorsports racers. Director of Information Technology Jason Liu executed this goal by defining the iconic representations of each activity: Evo Street Racers Logo 2 illegal street racing and the hand drop start and motorsports with a drag racing christmas tree start. To further accent each activity a street vehicle was poised on the left side of the image and a dragster was staged on the right.

The evolution concept is shown in two areas with the most obvious area found at the center of the logo with a person at a hand start and a christmas tree assimilated as one object. The second method utilized is less obvious with the corvette facing in one direction and the dragster facing the other direction. Mr. Harrison stated in regard to this design element:

"We gave serious consideration to both vehicles facing the same direction; however, it was found that there is no evolution if both vehicles are traveling in the same direction. The logo must mirror the choice of an illegal street racer to switch directions as s/he leaves the street for the track. This choice is shown through the street car driving/facing away (towards the past) and the dragster racing/facing forward (towards a promising future)."

Jason Liu noted that:

"Traditionally in most western cultures people read from the left to the right. This basic concept is utilized in the logo as seen with the street car on the left as it transitions into a race car on the right. "
