- Past and present illegal street racing statistics,
- Police enforcement tactics that have both failed and worked,
- Communities that have passed legislation that has proved successful,

So What Does The Press Say...?
Steve Kaminski of the Grand Rapids Press
"It will be a dream come true for anyone who has ever wanted to pull up beside a police cruiser, then floor it"
Ronald Scaglia of the Levittown Tribune
"...Harrison (Co-founder of Evo Street Racers) would use his knowledge of street racing to develop a successful program that would help to lure street racers away from the streets."
Jef Rietsma of the Kalamazoo Gazette
"Mattix, 19, said he was sweating and nervous as he noticed the pavement in the distance coming to an end. So he slowed to a stop, got out of his car and ...shook hands with Deputy Ken DeVries. ... "Yeah, it seemed a little odd, the whole concept of trying to outrun a police car," said Mattix, a Saranac resident. "The Opportunity to do something like that, though, I mean, that's why I am here today."
Bud Randall of Automotive Performance News
"...designed to encourage young people to "take it off the street and to the track" with nearly 300 street cars racing and 6 BTH cars from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Texas the event was a big hit! The Event received positive media coverage from several local papers and Television stations.
Cliff Yankovich of the Penasee Globe
"Hmmm, solid evidence that Beat the Heat is on the right track."
Jef Rietsma of the Hometown Gazette
"The issue on the drag strip isn't who wins or loses, it's creating the opportunity to say drag racing is OK if it is done in a safe environment," the six year Sheriff said. " I'm watching the racers pull over and shake hands with a deputy, and see smiles on both faces - that's a partnership money can't buy."
