  • Evo Street Racers is the first national association in America to create and coordinate a comprehensive four stage plan to reduce the incidence of illegal street racing. Stage 1 requires not only the creation of viable motorsports events but also seeks to improve the education and testing requirement in obtaining a drivers licence.   • August 3, 2008: 32 Articles have been added to the Illegal Street Racing Accident database, 10 interest groups have been added and the database has undergone status verification, and 32 articles have been added to Legislation & Enforcement database. One Evo reseracher noted, "Through my experience working for Evo Street Racers I review dozens of online databases/e-mail submissions and to my amazing horror the amount of articles collected never slows down.  One may conclude that the process of posting articles, especially accident related, would trend downwards with time due to Evo's existing database being huge but this is not the case. I am constantly finding new article about accidents in the past."
  • August 1, 2008: CURRENT ILLEGAL STREET RACING STATISTICS PROVE DETRIMENTAL TO THE CAUSE.
  • Often Evo Street Racers receives requests for illegal street racing statistic's. It has been found that the current illegal street racing statistics are GROSSELY inaccurate.   • July 28, 2008: Evo would like to congratulate Police Chief Larry "JUG " Glover of the Winnsboro ISD Police Department and Beat the Heat member in becoming an Ambassador of the Evo Street Racers. Evo's President states, "The knowledge and vision of law enforcement that are associated with the hard work and time of a Chief of Police is essential in assisting with viable solutions to the problem. Combine this insight with Chief Glover's passion to save lives by using his free time to educate illegal street racers to their options of pursuing the need for speed on the track makes him a great addition to the Evo Street Racers Ambassador program."   • July 27, 2008: With the addition of 18 illegal street racing accident articles to Evo Street Racers database it has sadly grown beyond the 300 mark. Although not statistically significant it is important to note that nearly 60% of the eight years of articles on the database are from the last three years.

  • July 21, 2008: Expanding our network of highly dedicated and passionate police officers that volunteer their FREE time to work with their local communities to deter the illegal activity of street racing Evo Street Racers welcomes Lt. Rey Alonso of the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Department and his 1985 Chevrolet S-10 (Runs high 9’s in the 1/4 mile!)   • July 4, 2008: Sadly the phenomenon grows at a record pace as Evo's researchers add 25 Illegal Street Racing Accident Articles to the Street Accidents Database to only 9 articles added to the Legislation Database.
  • June 22, 2008: In strengthening our ties with law enforcement, Evo Street Racers welcomes Officer Joe Warren and his 10 sec 1988 Mustang which he transformed from trooper interceptor car into a police drag car for Beat the Heat & Chattanooga Heat Motorsports.
  • June 13, 2008: Evo Street Racers welcomes Officer David Cowan of the Chattanooga Police Department and owner of Chattanooga Heat Motorsports as its newest ambassador. His weapon of choice is a highly modified '78 Pontiac Firebird as he speeds down the quarter mile drag strip in an effort to deter illegal street racing by showing illegal street racers how exciting yet safe the alternatives to the street are. Please support his efforts as he drives all over the country in exhibition runs with Beat the Heat & Chattanooga Heat Motorsports.
  • June 7, 2008: Evo Street Racers is proud to welcome its newest Ambassador Detective Marty Dunn of the Hamilton County Sheriffs officer and his racing team Chattanooga Heat Motorsports. President Bryan Harrison stated. "It is with great honor that Evo Street Racers pursues a partnership with Mr. Dunn and Chattanooga Heat Motorsports as we have much to learn and benefit from each other as we develop cohesive strategies to deter the illegal activity while developing the innovative and viable alternatives to illegal street racing that Mr. Dunn in known for." Mr. Harrison added "It is the passion that police officers like Mr. Dunn and his team bring to their community as they volunteer their time in an effort to save lives that truly define a positive everlasting impact; their efforts should act as a model across the country."
