Young Motorcyclist Killed On South Terrace

A young motorcyclist from Dalton, Ga., was killed in a wreck on South Terrace early Sunday morning.

Around 3:08 a.m. in the 5000 block of South Terrace, Timothy Myron Boggs, 21, lost control of the motorcycle he was riding.

Mr. Boggs was traveling east on South Terrace when the crash occurred.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic investigators said speed and alcohol were contributing factors for the crash.

This is the city's 19th traffic fatality of the year.
